The LORD is High Above All – Psalms 113:4

In Psalms one hundred thirteen the Psalmist said, “From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD’S name is to be praised”, and in chapter one hundred thirteen and verse four of Psalms the Psalmist said, “the LORD is high above all ” where we read,

The LORD is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.

The verse begins, The LORD is high above all nations, … The Psalmist said, “the LORD” which means “Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “is high” or “exists lofty, exalted and uplifted” “above all nations” which means “over, beyond and upon each, every, the whole and everyone of the non-Hebrew, Gentile and heathen people groups”. The Psalmist said Jehovah God exists over and beyond each and every one of the heathen Gentile people groups in the world.

The verse goes on to say, “… and his glory above the heavens.” The Psalmist continued with the words, “and his glory” which means “and his, Jehovah God’s, honor, abundance, riches, splendor and dignity” “above the heavens” or “over and beyond the visible sky, atmosphere, abode of the stars and place where Jehovah God dwells”. The Psalmist said Jehovah God’s honor and splendor exists beyond the visible sky and His abode in “heaven”.

When we think through the Psalmist’s words in this verse, we see how he exalted Jehovah God to be over and above the people groups of the world, and he said God’s splendor and honor is over the visible sky and His “heavenly abode”. God is to be glorified among people, and He sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we yield our lives to Him as our “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and allow us to be a part of recognizing Him for His “glory” and splendor that is beyond the “nations” and “heavens”.

Next time the Psalmist asks, “who is like unto the LORD our God”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
