In Psalms one hundred five the Psalmist said Jehovah God, “sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen. They showed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham. He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word. He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish. Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings. He spoke, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts. He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land. He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and broke the trees of their coasts. He spoke, and the locusts came, and caterpillars, and that without number, and did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground. He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength”, and in chapter one hundred five and verse thirty-seven of Psalms the Psalmist shared how Jehovah God, “brought them forth also with silver and gold” where we read,
He brought them forth also with silver and gold:
and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
The verse begins, “He brought them forth also with silver and gold:” The Psalmist began with the words, “He brought them forth also” or “He, Jehovah God, led and carried them out, the people of Israel, even so and indeed” “with silver and gold” which means “along with precious silver and gold metal”. The Psalmist referred to the time when Jehovah God led the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt with “silver and gold” given to them by the Egyptians. (See Exodus 3:22; 12:35-36)
The verse continues, “and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.” The Psalmist added the words, “and there was not one feeble person” or “and there existed not even a single stumbling or tottering human being whether male or female” “among their tribes” which means “in the midst or and alongside their, the people of Israel’s, rod, staff, branch or scepter”. The Psalmist said that not exist a single person within the tribe of Israel was infirm, sick and without health.
When we consider the words in this verse, we learn through the Psalmist how Jehovah God led the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt, but they did not travel empty-handed. They had “silver and gold” and God did not allow any of them to be infirm. God told the people of Israel to collect “silver and gold” from the Egyptians before they left Egypt, and the Egyptians gladly provided them just to get the Israelites out of their lives. God judged the people of Egypt when they could have repented and obeyed Him. God wants us all to surrender our lives to Him, and when we realize that He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind, we may yield ourselves to Him and He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and provide for us in all our days on earth and in Heaven with Him forever.
