Remember Me, O LORD – Psalms 106:4

Psalms one hundred six the Psalmist said, “Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that does righteousness at all times”, and in chapter one hundred six and verse four of Psalms the Psalmist said, “Remember me, O LORD” where we read,

Remember me, O LORD, with the favor that you bear unto your people: O visit me with your salvation;

The verse begins, Remember me, O LORD, with the favor that you bear unto your people: The Psalmist began with the words, “remember me” or “recall, call to mind bring to your remembrance me, the Psalmist”, “O LORD” which means “O Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name of the One True God”, “with the favor” or “alongside and by the use of the pleasure, delight, goodwill, acceptance and pleasure” “that you bear unto your people” which means “that you, Jehovah God, carry and bring forth to your, Jehovah God’s, human beings both male and female”. The Psalmist wanted Jehovah God to bring him to His remembrance along with the goodwill and delight that He brought to His human beings.

The verse goes on to say,O visit me with your salvation; The Psalmist continued with the words, “O visit me” or “O attend to, number, reckon and appoint me, the Psalmist” “with your salvation” which means “by the use of your, Jehovah God’s, rescue, deliverance and prosperity”. The Psalmist called upon Jehovah God to attend to Him with His rescue and deliverance.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we learn how the Psalmist wanted Jehovah God to bring him to His remembrance and to extend to Him the goodwill and pleasure that was brought forth unto His people. He then turned the attention of God to himself as he wanted God to take care of him with His deliverance and rescue. God will help groups of people and individuals, and He desires a personal relationship with everyone through His Son Jesus whom He sent into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we believe and trust in Him as our “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and hear us when we call for His “favor” and deliverance in our time of need.

Next time Psalmist says, “that I may see the good of your chosen”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
