God is the Same and Has No End – Psalms 102:27

In Psalms one hundred and two the Psalmist said, “I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: your years are throughout all generations. Of old have you laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of your hands, They shall perish, but you shall endure: yes, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shall you change them, and they shall be changed”, and in chapter one hundred two and verse twenty-seven of Psalms the Psalmist said, “but you are the same, and your years shall have no end” where we read,

But you are the same, and your years shall have no end.

The verse begins, But you are the same, … The Psalmist began with the words, “but you” or “however, nonetheless, notwithstanding and moreover you, Jehovah God” “are the same” which means “exist as the aforementioned and identical One”. The Psalmist said Jehovah God continues to be unalterable and who He is.

The verse continues,… and your years shall have no end. The Psalmist added the words, “and your years” or “and your, Jehovah God’s, measurements or periods of time annually” “shall have no end” which means “will never have a finish, be complete or cease”. The Psalmist said Jehovah God’s “years” will never be finished and complete.

When we consider the words in this verse, we learn how the Psalmist knew Jehovah God not only continued to be as He was, but also understood that God shall continue forever. The writer of Hebrews said, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever” (See Hebrews 13:8). In other words, God never changes. He remains the same, and He will always be this way. This same God loves people and sent His Son Jesus into the world to be crucified on the cross and raise from the dead three days later so we could be forgiven of our sins, granted everlasting life and be allowed to continue with Him for all eternity.

Next time the Psalmist says, “the children of your servants shall continue”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
